Katy Perry Goes Geek Nerd

There’s a stranger in my bed, there’s a pounding in my head...

Move over Rebecca Black, Katy Perry has a new song about Friday.

Katy has just released her latest video “Last Friday Night T.G.I.F” and viewers may not recognize the super trendy singer at first.

The video starts with a very nerdy looking group of kids the morning after a big Friday night party at their parents house.

Perry sports braces, nerd cloths, nerd hair, nerd glasses, mustache waxing, a hangover, and nerd friends. Rebecca Black makes an appearance as does the 1900’s boy band Hanson.

There are also cameos from Glee's Darren Criss, Kenny G playing the saxophone, Corey Feldman as her father, and 80's rocker Debbie Gibson as her mother.    

The premise is the makeover of a geek dweeb nerd into a beautiful swan. We won’t give it all away so just watch and enjoy!

Russell Brand Deported From Japan Over Criminal Past

We all know it can be hard to keep your nose clean in Hollywood.

But “Arthur” star Russell Brand found out the hard way.

Brand, who is married to pop star Katy Perry, was visiting Japan to be with his wife while on tour but was detained at the airport.

After a background check the Japanese authorities decided they did not want the likes of Mr. Brand in their country so they deported him.

Brand, who openly admits his years of drug and alcohol abuse, and past arrests, says that his prior bad history prompted Japan to ask him to leave.

His recent wife Katy Perry tweeted,

"So...my husband just got deported from Japan. I am so sad. I brought him all this way to show him my favorite place #tokyodreamscrushed"

Brand, ever the comedian, tweeted back,

"Planning escape from Japanese custody. It's bloody hard to dig a tunnel with a chopstick. "Stockholm syndrome kicking in. Just asked my guard out for (vegetarian) sushi. He giggled."

Perry later said she still loves Japan and her Japanese fans, and will continue her tour and does not hold any grudges since she knew what she was getting into with Russell.

For his part, Brand can still be seen legally in the smash summer hit movie “Arthur”, about a drunken playboy who stands to lose a wealthy inheritance when he falls for a woman his family doesn't like.

He is currently filming “Rock of Ages” with A-list actors Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Mary J. Blige, Paul Giamatti, and Bryan Cranston.

“Rock of Ages” is and adaption of the hit Broadway show and will tell the story of a small-town girl who arrives in Hollywood at the height of the 1980’s rock-music scene.

Watch Katy Perry’s New ‘E.T.’ Video with Kanye West – It is Bizarre – Really…

I guess in a world of Lady Gaga the pressure to always release new, wild, and bizarre music videos must be tremendous.

Leave it to Katy Perry to not disappoint.

In her new music video, “E.T” featuring Kanye West, the full bodied singer takes things into the world of space to grab our attention. The scene is set on a dark, distant planet with alien spacecraft and surreal imagery.

Kanye West floats around in an extra-terrestrial “orb” while he wraps about candy bars, and how famous and important he is.

Really? Why is Kanye even in this video?

Perry then floats into the scene in what looks like some costume from the last Harry Potter movie.

I’m not sure what else I can say other than… Katy Perry is turning into Lady Gaga.

Katy Perry Makes One Sexy Alien

Today, Katy Perry released the music video for her single E.T., featuring Kanye West. Get excited.

A lot of people have been comparing Katy Perry to Queen Ugly Lady GaGa; saying she's a copycat, and other blah-blah-blasphemous statements, simply because Katy used "out of this world" makeup and costumes for this latest vid.  Those people are idiots.

First of all: Lady GaGa is ugly in everything she does, just for the sake of being ugly.  It has absolutely nothing to do with her music; she simply does it to be shocking, and then deems it "art".

You know what would really be shocking?  If there were ever a day, or even just a single, fleeting moment, where Lady GaGa didn't look hideous.  Just one moment!  But we all know that's never gonna happen.

Katy Perry didn't go all alien just for pure stupidity's sake, her song is called "E.T.", thus the whole alien look makes sense, and it is neither lame, nor annoying.

Second point: Katy Perry isn't ugly in her E.T. music video.  She goes for the hot 'n sexy alien look.  And that's something Lady GaGa could definitely never pull off.

Thirdly: I did not puke when I watched this video.  So obviously, Katy Perry isn't copying Lady GaGa.

'Nuff said.
