Summer is winding down and Sharks are out in full force...on the Discovery Channel that is. It's Shark Week! Inspired by the programming I came across some fun finds.
I am going to be spending the weekend with my three little cousins at the lake. They are girlie girls and love Disney Princesses. I would have three of the biggest fans if I had inspired wardrobes like this tumblr I came across.
Picking out your backpack for the new school year was always my favorite, and since I am no longer in school I have lost touch with the backpack world. This summer I am thinking about channeling back to my school days and purchasing a backpack. I have come across the cutest packs and I think it will come in handy for weekend trips to the lake, a day at the pool and even a fun accessory to a music fest.
Chambray is a light-weight plain weave cotton fabric that just keeps making an appearance at all my favorite shops. The mock denim look is really catching my eye, and I think a few of these pieces need to be added to my closet very soon.
It's another edition of "Perfect Pairing" and we are expressing our street style through an interior space. This time the inspired room is a Mediterranean feel with pops of color and textures.
National Flip Flop day is here! What a great way to salute summer time. Make those toes pretty and step out in the sun with a pair of great flip flops.

My best friend and roommate in college always had a thing for maps, she loved to display them in every room of our shabby college apartment. I recently stumbled upon these other ways that maps are conceptualized through fashion, body art, furniture and keeping warm. Love them all!
Another edition of "Perfect Pairing" where we express personal style through an interior space. This week I was inspired by the use of color in this living room with exposed beams.
and it is her Birthday! Stevie Nicks has always been a favorite of mine, with or without Fleetwood Mac she rocks. She has been a style icon her whole career and has been an inspiration to so many. Her approach to life, her music and her wardrobe has such a free spirit. Below are a few memorable looks of hers including sheer fabrics with tons of layers, thigh high boots, feathered hair and crop tops.
Here is a glimpse of Stevie early in her career getting her make up done while practicing one of my all time favorites "Wild Heart" pretty cool footage...
Look of the day : A Modern Stevie
This look should be wore to any of the summer music festivals as well as a backyard BBQ.
