As One Monster Dies, Another is Born

Sadly, The Oprah Winfrey Show will come to an end on May 25. I ain't mad at that!

You know what I am mad at? - The Oprah Winfrey Network has given a new show to the grossest, most repulsive female person on the planet.

It's Rosie O'Donnell!!!

Gross.

Does anyone really want to hear Rosie harp on and on about her lame opinions? NO.

If anyone wanted to hear her speak, Rosie Cheeks wouldn't have been booted off of The View.

Duh.  Fail, fail, fail.  Obviously, the Harpo homies had to ensure that Oprah's "replacement" was fatter, uglier, and louder than Oprah, so as to make everyone miss Oprah even more, thus serving her ever-enlarging ego.

This new show will be filmed on the exact same soundstage at Harpo Studios (in Chicago), as The Oprah Winfrey Show.

About this new show, Rosie said:
"It's a huge thrill for me, and I'm beyond the beyond."
Well, of course she's thrilled, it's the only real job she's had in years. To make matters worse, Rosie is already set to do at least 130 episodes. ONE HUNDRED THIRTY!!!! Good god, pray help us through these dark, dark days.

The one comforting fact in all of this, is that Rosie's show will not be on network TV, it will be on Oprah's cable network OWN, which is only viewed by Oprah's lame body of fans.

All I can say is, Thank GOD I don't live in Chicago.

Oprah Winfrey, Salma Hayek And Jennifer Aniston To Appear On "30 Rock" - Video

"30 Rock" is setting itself up for a great new season starting October 30, and Tina Fey is calling in years of favors by getting an all-star cast of famous celebs to appear as guests.

It has been announced that Oprah Winfrey will appear as herself on the award winning "30 Rock", and that Jennifer Aniston will appear to play a "free-spirited, Fatal Attraction-like" stalker obsessed with Alec Baldwin's character Jack Donaghy.

Plus, earlier this week, it was confirmed that Salma Hayek would also be making an appearance on the hit series, with NBC announcing that Hayek will take on the recurring role of Elisa, Jack Donaghy's new romantic love interest.

Tina Fey asked Hayek to guest on the sitcom as "a character, not as herself" for two episodes, according to a report in the New York Post. We also hear that any of these guest roles may turn into returning characters if things go well.

Hayek joins a growing list of A-list celebrities booked by Fey for "30 Rock", and reports are rampant that there will also be appearances from Jerry Seinfeld, Steve Martin and Al Gore. We can't wait.

Fey's popularity has skyrocketed since she developed "30 Rock", and later began playing Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live. She has appeared in several SNL skits as Palin, and is rumored to be returning again for SNL's Thursday Night Live mini-episodes.

Fey will also be appearing in the Ricky Gervais comedy "This Side Of Truth" starring Fey, Gervais, Jonah Hill, Jennifer Garner, Jason Bateman, Rob Lowe, Patrick Stewart and Jeffrey Tambor. The film is a comedy set in a world where no one has ever lied, until a writer seizes the opportunity for personal gain. The film is due sometime next year.

Tatum O'Neal Speaks With Oprah Winfrey About Drug Bust - Video

Tatum O'Neal took advantage of her first televised interview since her crack bust three months ago in New York.

The Oscar winning actress says her June 8, 2008 drug arrest and conviction scared her straight.

The "Paper Moon" star told Oprah she would probably still be using cocaine and spiraling out of control if not for the police intervention after the drug purchase and arrest.

O'Neal told Winfrey,

"I felt very alone in my apartment, I felt helpless. I got close to relapsing. It was close enough. Too close for comfort."

In addition to "Paper Moon", the actress also starred in "The Bad News Bears", "International Velvet", "The Scoundrel's Wife" with Tim Curry, and recently appeared in fifty-one episodes of the television series "Wicked Wicked Games", about a scorned woman who plots revenge against the man who abandoned her 25 years earlier in order to marry another woman.

O'Neal is currently wrapping up work on the dramatic "Saving Grace", due in theaters later this year, and starring Michael Biehn. The film, set in a 1950s-era Missouri town where the life of a couple is thrown into chaos when the husband's sister is released from the local asylum and comes to live with the family.
