Every now and then we run across a new artist or singer that really impresses us.
We found Christiana from her Facebook page and YouTube channel and are wondering why more people have not picked up on her distinctive style and unique talent.
She hails from New York and has spent a lifetime singing, dancing, and learning how to act - and has an impressive number of professionally done studio videos of her music.
Christiana is the Granddaughter of a famous Opera singer and you can tell by her fashion and musical dexterity that the glamor and style has transcended down through the generations.
The thing we liked most was her throwback to the classic vintage style of music. You know - music that you can actually listen to, enjoy, and understand the words.
Christiana names Judy Garland, Celine Dion, and Queen as her big musical influences – and we definitely see that as young and beautiful as she is, she sports an old soul when it comes to her music.
She almost comes across as a Marilyn Monroe meets Madonna old-fashioned style, but a few of her photos and music videos actually have a slight Lady Gaga look and feel – and we mean that in a good way.
Christiana is very elegant and sophisticated, and clearly does not need a meat dress, plastic egg, shoulder horns, or bizarre costume to express her mood.
She seems very comfortable in her own skin, and this is most evident in her video “Being Alive”.
With a sound somewhere between classical Madonna and Celine, it is a great example of her musical range and emotion she puts into her music.

In another song titled “Werewolf”, Christiana shows how effortlessly she can belt out the power notes.
In every song we listened to we could always hear a blend of styles – sometimes pop, sometimes romantic, sometimes musical Broadway, other times more vintage old school.
It is refreshing to find an artist who seems to be all about the music and not the fame, costumes, paparazzi, TV appearances, World tours, tabloid stories, and meat dresses.
Christiana seems like one of those artists that could really outshine her competition if given the right opportunity, producer, studio exposure, and set list.
Perhaps the world is not quite ready to return to the days when music was music and Hollywood was Hollywood.
But someday, we will all wake up and realize that Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Kanye, and others were just an output function of a massive marketing scheme designed more to make money than actually entertain us.
Christiana is a classic musical entertainer.
Yes, someday we will once again stir our inner desire to simply listen to and enjoy music for what it is meant to be – music.
Good luck Christiana, we hope you get your big break and are given the opportunity to express yourself to the world in the way you so clearly are prepared for.

Video - Justin Bieber Attacked and Knocked to the Ground in New York City
Poor Justin Bieber.
After a long 24 hours of press while promoting his new “Someday” fragrance, he ran into a little trouble on the streets of New York.
Bieber did the David Letterman show last night and read the Top Ten List, visited the Today Show staff this morning, and wrapped his morning with the gaggle gals on The View.
After his television appearances he headed over to Herald Square to meet his fans at Macys when things went terribly wrong.
Bieber had entered Macy’s to do a quick session with reporters and then headed back outside to greet his fans when a man jumped a metal barricade and secondary rope line and knocked Bieber to the ground.
Witnesses say Bieber was visibly shaken when his two body guards jump into the fry to isolate Justin from the rest of the crowd.
Other witnesses say that it took three bystanders to subdue the attacker until police arrived.
One girl said,

One girl in the crowed was slightly injured but refused medical treatment.
There has been no official statement from Bieber’s camp or Macy’s.
That must be one mighty powerful perfume….

Charlie Sheen at New York’s Radio City Music Hall – BAD – Review
How can New York not like Uncle Charley, right?
Charlie tells everyone that he will be donating $1.00 from each ticket to the Japanese Earthquake Relief Fund. We do know that ticket prices dropped like a rock for this show with most selling for about $30 instead of the listed price of $125.
Again, the show started over a half hour late, and Sheen immediately started answering questions yelled out from the audience. It all seemed very unorganized.
His moderator, Joey Scoleri, who is never formally introduced, has to tell the liquored up crowd to be quite so Charlie can talk.
But after forty-five-minutes of crack, hooker, drugs, and partying stories the crowd started to grow impatient. Sheen then showed his edited version of the 20/20 interview that you can watch right here for free.

When Sheen returned the audience really let him have it. They booed, the hissed, the heckled and they walked out. This seems to be the standard routine of his last four shows.
After a few final stale stories and references to warlocks, tiger blood, and Adonis DNA he walked off the stage. There was no standing ovation, but only an audience that seemed to sit in amazement that the show was over.
People started shuffling out with a look of confusion on their faces. It was clear that Charlie did not make a good impression with New Yorkers.
All you had to do was ask and they told you.
Unfortunately, Sheen still has 16 shows left. Next stop is Saturday Night in Wallingford, Connecticut.
Can it keep being this bad?

Cool Flash Mob ‘Freezes’ in Grand Central Station – Amazing
If you have ever witnessed, or seen a video of a real flash mob you understand how absolutely amazing it can be when it happens. One of our favorites is the food court flash mob at Christmas.
But Improve Everywhere added a new dimension by actually having all the participants (over 200) “freeze” in place for exactly five minutes, and then reanimate and go on about their day.
I can only imagine what an end time evangelical Christian might think if they saw something like this in person. It must make them think the rapture has arrived or something out of this world is happening.
Just watch the expressions on the faces of some of these people as they try to digest what is happening. It does kind of give you goose bumps.
Enjoy!

The New York Yankees player tested positive for two anabolic steroids, and his name appears on a list of over one hundred other players who tested positive for drugs during 2003.
He tested positive for Primobolan and testosterone while playing for the Texas Rangers.

In a December 2007 interview with "60 Minutes" he denied using steroids or other drugs.

David Blaine Hangs Upside Down For 60 Hours - Watch Video
Magician David Blaine started a three-day illusion Monday, hanging upside down over New York's Central Park, in what some believe may be his most dangerous stunt ever.Blaine, 35, was lifted upside down over Central Park's Wollmann ice skating rink, and plans to remain there, hanging by his ankles from a wire for 60 hours.
The magician, who has spent 72 hours enclosed in ice, gone 44 days without food in a glass box, spent a week under water, and been buried alive for days, told reporters that hanging upside down for three days will be his hardest challenge to date.
"This is the most difficult for sure. The others, you could get into them soon after the start, but this one is tough from the beginning".
He is attached at the waist and by two steel harnesses connecting his boots to the wire. For two nights and three days he will not eat or sleep. The metal frame from which he is suspended is four stories high, but Blaine can be lowered to ground level to communicate with the press and doctors.
Doctors are worried about the effect of the stress on Blaine's internal organs and blood circulation. He will not be eating, and will take in liquid through a straw, and will only be able to urinate through a catheter.
ABC television purchased live coverage rights to the Central Park event and is planning a two-hour prime time show on Wednesday evening featuring Blaine's illusion and his return to solid ground.
Blaine's assistant and agent Regina Dantas said she and the rest of Blaine's crew become worried each time he takes his magic to the edge. She commented to reporters:
"The doctor and his assistants are petrified. The outcome of his magic is always a big question mark, a big question mark. David is fearless. Death, I think, means something different to him."
In fact, several doctors have commented that this type of trick is very dangerous because the heart relies on gravity, to some extent, and is not used to pumping blood up to the feet as it will in Blaine's case. Blood may also drain to his head raising the risk of stroke or blood hemorrhage.
Doctors also say Blaine will have to contend with a restricted ability to breathe, because his diaphragm will be upside down with the weight of his intestines pushing upon it. And a lack of proper blood flow to his legs, if profound, may cause muscle tissue to die off as it is starved of oxygen.
But something tells us that with a major television network buying the advertising rights, and cameras at every angle, that everything will be just fine and Blaine will grab a lot of attention and money from the deal.
