Thia Megia Will Join Motown Night on American Idol Season 10

After this week's performance night in American Idol, Fil-Am Thia Megia didn't seem to have a lock on making it to the Top 11 but the 16-year-old had more than enough votes to remain in the running in the biggest talent show on the planet.

Karen Rodriguez, the 21-year-old from New York, New York who sang 'Hero,' got the lowest number of votes and was eliminated from the competition.

For this week's performance night, the Top 12: Thia Megia, Pia Toscano, Casey Abrams, Naima Adedapo, Lauren Alaina, James Durbin, Stefano Langone, Jacob Lusk, Scotty McCreery, Paul McDonald, Haley Reinhart and Karen Rodriguez were asked to choose a song from the year they were born.

Thia, who was born in 1995, sang Vanessa Williams' 'Colors of the Wind.' All three judges were not excited with her performance although they again pointed out that she had a great voice. Viewers seemed to remain strongly behind the soft-spoken Fil-Am from California as the results night would show her to be clearly out of danger of getting eliminated. Rodriguez, Reinhart and Adedapo were this week's bottom three.

Also on results night, the Top 12 sang a Born to Be Wild/Born This Way mash-up. Guests Black Eyed Peas performed 'Just Can't Get Enough' and season 9 winner Lee DeWyze sang 'Beautiful Like You.'

On her official Twitter account, Thia thanked everyone for their support. Next week, the remaining 11 finalists take on classic Motown tunes. Can Megia deliver a knockout performance on Motown night? Who will have the honor of being in this season's Top 10?

The best is yet to come. American Idol performance night airs on Thursday, 6 p.m. (with same day replay at 10 p.m.) and results night airs on Friday, 6 p.m. (with same day replay at 10 p.m.) only on GMA News TV Channel 11.
