Puerto Rican boxing superstar Miguel Cotto faces off with Nicaraguan bad boy Ricardo “El Matador” Mayorga on Sunday, March 13, in a fight for the WBA Super Welterweight Championship, to be aired by ABS-CBN Sports at 2pm on Studio 23.
Dubbed as “Relentless,” the Cotto-Mayorga fight will be held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Cotto (35-2-0 28 KOs) will try to prove to the world that he is still one of the best pound for pound fighters by defending his belt against former 2-division world champion Ricardo Mayorga (29-7-1 23 KOs). Mayorga, one of the hardest hitting punchers of his time, meanwhile, is confident that he can beat Cotto easily.
