Winners

Outstanding Comedy Series - "Modern Family" (2009)
Haven't watched this... bummed Glee did not win, or 30 Rock... :(

Outstanding Drama Series - "Mad Men" (2007)
Wished Lost would've won, but I'll settle for Jon Hamm...

Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series - Kyra Sedgwick for "The Closer" (2005)
Julianna Margulies did not win? Totally unexpected... but good for Kyra Sedgwick, who's been nominated for years now but haven't won...

Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series - Bryan Cranston for "Breaking Bad" (2008)
Really thought somebody else was gonna win this one coz it seems like the winners were all first timers...

Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series - Archie Panjabi for "The Good Wife" (2009)
Did not watch The Good Wife so did not know... but it's a wonder she won while the lead actress lost out...

Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series - Aaron Paul for "Breaking Bad" (2008)
Finally, someone I picked to win have won! Yay me! Hehehe...

Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series - Edie Falco for "Nurse Jackie" (2009)
I have nothing against Edie Falco or Nurse Jackie, but I wished Rachel Berry would've bagged this one, especially for her heartbreaking duet with her mom...

Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series - Jim Parsons for "The Big Bang Theory" (2007)
Another prediction came true! And this one is one of my faves too! Go Sheldon Cooper! :)

Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series - Eric Stonestreet for "Modern Family" (2009)
Haven't seen Modern Family... would've thought with two nominees from the same show, they would cancel each other out and Neil Patrick Harris or Chris Colfer would've won...

Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series - Jane Lynch for "Glee" (2009)
Finally, Sue Sylvester got some gold after losing out at the Globes! :)

Airbender

Avatar: The Last Airbender is an anime on Nickelodeon. I've heard about it before but had never gotten around to watching it until recently.

Okay, okay, because the movie's coming out, so the interest got kick-started...
There's no one really famous in the movie, except maybe that kid from Slumdog Millionaire. Here's the thing. Every adaptation, be it from books, comics or video games, the fans will be disappointed.
Yes, I was a bit disappointed. Because the movie deviated slightly from the original storylines. But then again, it's trying to establish itself as an entirely different entity so guess that's forgivable. But still, I don't heartily accept some stuff like Katara's waterbending abilities... and I don't accept the movie version of Aang. This Aang has none of the cartoon Aang's charms but they make him sound like the cartoon version.
What of the casting? None of them actually looked like the original characters.

Sokka, Aang, Katara

Movie Aang

See what I mean?

Anyway, the movie in itself is not too bad. Some of the fight scenes are nice enough. But like I said about Aang, this movie lacked the warmth and charms of the animated series...

But I guess newbies to the Benders world would like the movie.

Hopefully the second movie would be better...
