The Smurfs

The Smurfs was a cartoon in the 80s about a village full of little blue people. It is now being brought to life on the silver screen and the Smurfs will be digitally animated... sort of like Alvin and the Chipmunks or Garfield...

Box Office

Remember the Karate Kid back in the 80's?
Now it's a movie starring Will Smith's son, Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan...

And it's at the top of the box-office, beating out The A Team and Shrek Forever After

Fall Shows

After the announcement of canceled shows, the networks are announcing the fall line-up, which includes news shows to replace the canceled ones.

Here are some that caught my interest:

No Ordinary Family. Coz they're all superheroes.
Now that Heroes has been canceled, we'll need this for our superhero fix.

The Cape. Looks like Batman. A superhero without powers. Should be interesting.

Steven Spielberg and Dinosaurs? Sold!

Maggie Q? As a kick-ass lead? Hell yeah. This is based of La Femme Nikita, the movie.
Not sure if it's the same as the previous Nikita TV show...

Dana Delany was good in Desperate Housewives.
Maybe she'll be good here in Body of Proof as well.

Casting News

Casting news for the Avengers Movie. But before that, I was a bit surprised to see that Joss Whedon (the genius behind Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly, Dollhouse) was directing it. But that's a good thing. Joss is good. :)

In addition to Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow, Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Don Cheadle as War Machine, now we have Hawkeye.

Jeremy Renner, Oscar nominee for The Hurt Locker... is either in talks for the role or have signed on, depending on which news you read...
